This rice stand is made of straw wood from Kiso, Nagano Prefecture. Straw wood is resistant to water and has been used since ancient times for barrels and the like.
Because it is finished with a plane one by one, it is highly resistant to water and moisture absorption.
By making sushi rice in the rice bowl, you can prevent vinegar and other moisture from being absorbed by the body and making the sushi rice watery.
An optional lid can also be used to prevent the rice from drying out and can be used as a substitute for the rice bowl.
